A closeup of a rusting screw that’s holding a door knob in a door. Taken on September 4th of this year, 2006, in Irvine, California.
The door knob itself is a dark metallic color, and is slowly rusting also, losing its color. As is the case lately, you can see strands of dusts around a few places in the picture.

A picture of a tri bulb. This was taken on September 1st of this year, 2006, in Irvine, California.
This is the same tri bulb as shown in “4 tri bulbs on a fan.” The enclosing around the bulb is of very nice design. I will post a picture of that soon, probably in daylight without any of the tri bulb, or without the tri bulbs turned on. One of the reasons I take pictures of bulbs in the manner shown in the picture is because of the way they appear to be bright, when in reality they are really engulfed in darkness just like everything around them.

A closeup of a stone that’s weathering slowing among other experienced, and already weathered, stones. This was taken on August 30th of this year, 2006, in Irvine, California.
With more and more housing communities planting plastic trees and not favoring having nature nearby, most houses are resorting to plastic decoration, or stones from the beach or stores to have something in or around the house that’s not manufactured by humans in factories.
As is the case lately, you can see strands and strings of different particles in the picture. Some of it should be dog hair.

A picture of a Snow Man and a Santa above the sign of a ACE Hardware store on University Avenue. This was taken on January 15th, 2005 in Berkeley, California.
Christmas is a time when most businesses in the country actually start doing some major decorations. This ACE Hardware store was no exception to this fact in 2005; the entire focus of the store during that time period was on the decoration, and not the lighting of the name itself.
I do not remember if the light of the words “Hardware” was not working or if it came on periodically as part of the decoration.

Sunset at J. Paul Getty Center. This was taken in January, 2005 in Los Angeles, California.
The Getty Center has a lot of beautifully designed buildings, and this is near the back cafeterias and the main exhibits. This was taken after the “School children running down at Getty Center“, on the same day. The sun was being reflected off many different surfaces, since most of the surfaces at the Getty Center are shiny and reflective. This is just one of them. I have a dark version of this exact same picture also. I’ll try to post that soon.

A closeup of the decoration on a speaker. Picture taken on August 28th of this year, 2006, in Irvine, California
This speaker is the left side speaker of a Sharper Image Sleek 3-CD Stereo. The entire stereo system is a beautiful design, and these small decoration holders right in front of the speaker woofers are a nice touch to the whole system. I wanted to take picture of a colorful cd inside the stereo, as you can see the cd spinning round very nicely whenever a cd is playing. However, I didn’t have any colorful cd with me, so I decided to take this picture instead.
The black thing on the back mirror-type surface is the reflection of the lens of the camera. As is the case with some pictures that I’ve been taking lately, you can see a few strands of dust and other particles.

A closeup of the spiral design of a spiral bulb. This was taken on June 24th of this year, 2006 in Anaheim, California.
I took a series of pictures that day of a single bulb fitted in a ceiling frame, with the bulb both turned on and off. The frame appears to a bit off in this picture, though it does capture the beauty of the light and design itself, including the strands of dust on the bulb. The bulb turned on produced better pictures than when it was off, probably because the camera could focus on the light close to its lend more easily than it could from the light it would catch all around the place had the bulb not been emitting such a bright light.
You can see many strands of dust and other particles on the bulb; these things are not visible without looking this close at bulbs. Try this at your home also; may be pleased with what you find.
